No need to search for a hi-rail cement truck when all we need to do is drop the loading ramps on a road crossing, load the cement mixer, and proceed to the job site.
Cement truck transported out on the Trout River Trestle in Jacksonville, Florida for unloading, fast, efficient and safe.
Transporting damaged tanker for repairs.
Often times a car is just too large to place on a flat car for relocation to a repair facility. This is where Utilco Railroad Services patented highway capable wheel trucks come into play. It only requires removing the rail wheels and trucks and replacing them with our highway system. In very short order the car is ready to move on public highways at road speed. This particular car was moved over 100 miles on US 341 and US 1 without incident.
When we decided to restore and place an old GP 15 engine out front for display purposes there was only one problem, height. No matter how we measured the engine and our trailers it was still much too high to transport on public roads. This problem was solved by using three of our Big John derricks to rotate the engine while suspended and lay it on its side. Problem solved.
This engine was transported fifty miles in this fashion.
